We've listened to our customers over the last year or so and we kept getting requests for painted products. We try our best to add products that are trending in the marketplace and also to help you make your shopping experience a better one! As we looked at what paint color to offer to start, there was one obvious choice: White. Our Arctic White color is the most popular option as white continues to dominate kitchen and bath finishes in the home. The white kitchen shows no sign of letting up in terms of popularity. With its clean and crisp look, it remains a top choice for homeowners looking to create a room with a feel of openness and brightness. Most kitchen designs today incorporate some type of color. When you paint kitchen cabinets, you can't just use any type of paint—you need a product designed to withstand the rigors of life in a kitchen. Some details about our paint and process:
- The paint is a pigmented basecoat that must be catalyzed prior to application. Our paint require the application of a clear coat of conversion varnish as the final coat.
- Our paint have a high solids content, resulting in better build and lower VOC emissions.
- We only offer our primer and paint option on two wood species - paint grade hard maple and MDF. The paint grade hard maple option features a hard maple frame with a MDF insert panel. The reason we use the MDF insert panel is to reduce veneer checking, seam separation and panel stave offsets.
- We use two coats of white primer on the the front and back of the doors and drawers and then finish with one coat of paint and clear coat of conversion varnish.
The white primer and Arctic White paint option are available in most of our wood Cabinet Doors and Drawer Fronts designs including raised panel, recess panel, shaker and slab designs.
